These bottoms are designed for Lilja the Label by Chloe Kian. The sustainable Chloé set is made from plastic waste collected from the oceans – by purchasing the set you are helping to make a difference!
Chloes inspiration behind the design:
This year I wanted to come out with a long lasting design. I checked my bikini collection and had to be really honest with myself: the suit I wore the most in the last five years was a simple black bikini that fit nicely and enhanced my body shape. I felt confident in it, and as clumsy as I am, I wasn’t scared to stain it. I never got tired of it and even repaired it when it once started falling apart. So when I had the opportunity to design a new piece with Lilja The Label this year, my goal was to create a piece that would fit beautifully on any body type and that anyone would feel comfortable and confident wearing regularly. I hope you will take this bikini on many adventures, cherish and wear it until it falls appart. I hope you will love this new design as much as I do and make it your go-to bikini not only this Summer, but also next year and so on!

We know that swimwear sizing can be tricky! If you need any help, do not hesitate to get in contact.
A lot of sizing is up to individual preference: you can think of whether you like your swimwear to be tight-fitting, which we recommend for water sports, or a bit on the looser side, which on the other hand is perfect for tanning and relaxing. If you prefer a snug fit, shop your usual size – if you prefer a more loose-fitting size or a bit more coverage, choose a size up. If you are in between sizes, you could probably wear both – the smaller one will be snug and the larger one more loose-fitting.
Please also note that swimwear will also always feel snug when worn dry and for the first time. The fabric will always get a tad softer after being worn a couple of times.
Quick sizing guide:
XS: EU 34 / UK/AU 6 / US 2
S: EU 36 / UK/AU 8 / US 4
M: EU 38 / UK/AU 10 / US 6
L: EU 40 / UK/AU 12 / US 8
XL: EU 42 / UK/AU 14 / US 10
Chloe Kian wears size XS in both the top and the bottoms.
The fabric used in this set is Econyl, a nylon yarn regenerated from discarded waste plastics, such as fishing nets and plastic bottles collected from our oceans. These post-consumer waste plastics are given a new life in form of our activewear through a process that involves breaking down the nylon polymer into monomers, then regenerating the nylon into a new yarn. The breakdown process is done with only temperature and steam, without the use of harmful chemical agents, in a renewable energy driven process. Reusing nylon to make Econyl reduces the environmental impact of nylon by 80% compared with the material produced from crude oil. Read more about the process via the fabric manufacturer’s website.
Do not machine wash, tumble dry or iron.
Do not hang your swimwear to dry from the straps to avoid stretching.

Our Hilla Ribbed Crop is a part of our new activewear collection called North. This collection is inspired by the rough but resistant nature we have here in the north where Lilja the Label is from. We wanted to celebrate the gorgeous autumn hues Northern Europe offers when seasons change. Hilla, the name we gave this yellow variation of our Ribbed Crop, is a Finnish word for cloudberry, a golden-yellow wild little berry that naturally grows in swamps in eastern and northern Finland, flowers in the summer and is ready to be picked in autumn. Hilla is our own little superfood and we hope this top brings you as much energy as the berries would! Combine it with our new high-waisted leggings, head to yoga or just lounge at home. The fabric used in this top is regenerated from plastic waste collected from our oceans, so by purchasing this top, you not only look good but help cleaning out our oceans and giving these waste plastics a new life.
Our Lumi Ribbed Bikers are part of our new activewear collection called North. This collection is inspired by the rough but resistant nature we have here in the north where Lilja the Label is from. We wanted to celebrate the gorgeous autumn hues Northern Europe offers when seasons change. Lumi, the name we gave the white variation of these items, is a Finnish word for snow. In fact, we have over 40 words for snow in Finnish, so where should we even start?! Depending on where in Finland you are, the first snow usually falls sometime between October and December bringing some light into the polar night – and in the north the snow stays well into the beginning of the summer.
These shorts have a flattering high waistline, an elastic on waist to make sure they stay where they should, and double fabric for added support and coverage. Combine these shorts with the matching ribbed crop or any of our other items. The fabric used in this collection is regenerated from plastic waste collected from our oceans, so by purchasing this top, you not only look good but help cleaning out our oceans and giving these waste plastics a new life.
Our Kaamos Ribbed Crop is a part of our new activewear collection called North. This collection is inspired by the rough but resistant nature we have here in the north where Lilja the Label is from. We wanted to celebrate the gorgeous autumn hues Northern Europe offers when seasons change. Kaamos, the name we gave the black variation of our Ribbed Crop, is a Finnish word for polar night. The polar night occurs in the northernmost and southernmost parts of the world, only inside the polar circles, where the night in winter lasts for more than 24 hours. This means that for example in Lapland, the sun does not rise for up to 50 days. The polar night is a time for rest, relaxation, looking inward and stopping for a while.
Combine this top with our new high-waisted leggings or the matching ribbed bikers and enjoy slowing down and looking inwards. The fabric used in this top is regenerated from plastic waste collected from our oceans, so by purchasing this top, you not only look good but help cleaning out our oceans and giving these waste plastics a new life.
