It depends on the country your order is delivered to.
- EU countries, Norway, the UK and the USA: no. All taxes and import duties are included in our prices, and there is nothing to pay on delivery.
- Switzerland and all countries outside the EU that are not listed above: taxes and import duties are not included in our prices. Your country's customs will usually charge import VAT, and possibly duties, when the parcel arrives.
EU countries: nothing to pay
Lilja ships from within the EU (Finland and Germany), so there is no customs clearance. Our prices include VAT, and the price you see at checkout is final.
Norway: nothing to pay
Lilja is part of the Norwegian VOEC scheme. Norwegian VAT (25 %) and all import duties are included in our prices, and the courier won't charge you anything on delivery.
The UK: nothing to pay
All taxes, duties and import fees are included in our prices and settled before the parcel is sent. The courier won't charge you anything on delivery.
The USA: nothing to pay
All taxes, tariffs and import fees are included in our prices and settled before the parcel is sent. The courier won't charge you anything on delivery.
Switzerland: VAT and import charges are not included
Orders to Switzerland ship from our warehouse in Germany. Swiss VAT and possible import charges are not included in our prices, and you clear the parcel through customs when it arrives. Your local customs authority can tell you what applies to your order.
All other countries: VAT and import charges are not included
This applies to every country outside the EU other than Norway, the UK, the USA and Switzerland, for example Canada or Australia. You clear the parcel through customs and pay your country's import VAT and possible duties when it arrives. Thresholds and rates differ by country and are outside our control, so check with your local customs authority before you order.
If you change your mind about an order outside the EU
The best way is to collect the parcel and make a standard return through our returns portal. A parcel that is refused at delivery or at customs isn't a return in the usual sense. It travels back through customs, which causes a lot of additional costs for us, so we unfortunately have to deduct 40 € from the refund in those cases.
