The size chart is a starting point, but bodies differ, and the same measurements can need a different size depending on the style. Here is what to check.
Tops
- Cup size matters as much as the chart. Most of our tops fit true to size for cups A–C. For cups D and larger, we usually recommend a size up and adjusting the back for better support and coverage.
- Check what can be adjusted. A top with an adjustable back (such as the Drawstring Top) is easy to size up in. A top with a fixed back (such as the Plunge Top) is not, especially if your band size is small.
- Support level varies by style. The Tri Top is a low-support style for beach days, while the Drawstring and Plunge Tops give more support.
Bottoms
- Go by your hip measurement, and note that it's measured at the widest point, usually well below where the bottoms actually sit.
- Snug is right when new. All bottoms soften with wear, especially in the water.
- Coverage is a choice. In cheeky styles like the Tie Bottoms, sizing up gives more coverage and sizing down gives less.
- Stretchier fabrics fit softer. In Sienna and Gathered pieces, size down rather than up if you're unsure.
One-pieces
- If your bust and hip point to different sizes, look at what the style lets you adjust. Adjustable straps, backs and ruched sides give you room to fit both.
- Double-layered styles feel tight at first. The Ruched and Linda Onepieces have two layers of fabric and adjust to your body over the first wears.
- Long torso? Adjustable straps help, and you can ask us about a specific style before ordering.
