We are thrilled to reveal our latest swimwear collection, a limited-edition line that brings the vibrant creativity of Kaisla Laranta to life. Based in sunny Barcelona, Kaisla is a renowned visual artist and art therapist whose contemporary still life paintings are infused with joy, color, and a playful sense of spontaneity. Her unique artistic style has now been beautifully translated into swimwear, capturing the essence of summer!

Kaisla Laranta has created to two stunning prints for our swimwear collection: Picnic and Siesta. Each design is a testament to her ability to draw inspiration from the simple pleasures of life and her vivid memories, transforming them into wearable art.
Kaisla describes the two designs as follows:
"Picnic embodies a Mediterranean picnic, exuding brightness and carefree vibes with a blend of sweet and sour tastes like cherry, lemon, salty sea air, and melting ice cream.
“Siesta takes us back to the groovy patterns and faded color palettes of 70's Ibiza, evoking tan lines, salty oysters, fresh olives, and cocktails. It captures the feeling of leaving the beach, slightly dazed, and continuing the night with friends, maybe still in a bikini.”
Behind the scenes with Kaisla Laranta
Kaisla's design process is as fascinating as her final creations. Drawing from her deep love of fashion and her vibrant artistic practice, she envisions swimwear that she herself would love to wear. Her process involves countless sketches and a blend of objects and colors from her paintings, slowly forming a clear vision. Despite the challenges that come with any creative endeavour, Kaisla finds joy in the learning process and the opportunity to try something new.
"I always draw inspiration from my memories and the simple pleasures of life happening around me," says Kaisla. This personal connection to her work is evident in every piece of the collection.
Seeing her prints applied to our swimwear has been a unique experience for Kaisla. "It's incredible and exciting! Working with Lilja's professional and supportive team made the whole project feel so special", she shares. The transformation of her artistic vision into tangible, wearable pieces has been a rewarding journey, one that we are excited to share with you.
A personal favorite
While each piece in the collection is designed to complement the others, Kaisla has a secret favorite: the Tri Top and Tie Bottoms in her vibrant Siesta print. "It perfectly captures the fun, easygoing vibe of hot Mediterranean days by the beach", she explains. "I can't wait to see people feeling great while wearing it, including myself!”
