Swimwear from Helsinki, since 2016
Laura Saarinen started Lilja the Label in 2016, as a 22-year-old economics student who spent most of her free time in the water.
We design everything in-house in Helsinki. Our swimwear is made at the family-run factory we work with in Guimarães, Portugal, from a fabric made in Italy with ECONYL® regenerated nylon. Sizes run from XS to 3XL.
We don't design for one season. The same cuts come back year after year in new colours, and they're made to be worn for a long time.
How it's made
Our swimwear fabric is mostly ECONYL® regenerated nylon (78% in most styles), a yarn made from waste such as discarded fishing nets, fabric scraps and industrial plastic. All our swimwear has been made in the EU since 2022.

Lilja ships worldwide, but home is Helsinki. If you're in town, our store at Fredrikinkatu 25 is open Wednesday to Saturday.
